Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will reportedly be handed a transfer war chest of up to a whopping £260 million to bring in new players to the club and the scouting team has already commenced work in search of the kind of players the German manager wants to recruit to the club.
Although Chelsea spent so much recruiting players, the investment has not started yielding results with some of the players still struggling to justify the fee paid for them that saw them switch clubs. It is also believed that Lampard’s inability to bring out the best from his big signings was the major reason he got fired by Chelsea, but it looks as though there is going to be more spending this summer.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Thomas Tuchel has requested some cash so he can sign his own players and build his own team to his taste. With £260 million, the club can of course sign some top players across Europe, and a couple of them have been mentioned.
The first name on the list is Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian continues to be highly sought-after especially with his hot firm this season and has attracted interest from other top clubs. RB Leipzig defender Ibrahim a Konate, Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule, AC Milan goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma, and David Alaba are the rest of the players on the five-man shortlist as the Blues plan a squad revamp in the summer.
